Jamie started in the industry at a young age working in theatre before studying at CSSD with MIRRAD co-founder Dave Cohen. Realising he could combine both his passions in lighting and music, Jamie started touring 12 years ago and hasn’t stopped since, having travelled the whole world with an impressive roster of artists.

Jamie has been particularly celebrated for his work with The Script, receiving a Knight of Illumination award in 2011, as well as being part of the team that was nominated for TPI’s Live Production of the Year 2015 for their incredible Croke Park show.

DAVE COHEN

daveQualifications: BA(Hons) Theatre Practice / Lighting Central School of Speech and Drama, BTEC National Diploma Technical Theatre

Dave started his career at the Kentish Town Forum working with a huge variety of artists, before going freelance, hitting the road and never looking back. Dave is hugely experienced across many styles of music with a particularly strong reputation in the electronic music world, currently touring with both Gorgon City and Booka Shade.

In 2015 Dave was approached by Arcadia to support on their Glastonbury show, and is now the Lighting Designer for all Arcadia productions. Arcadia’s Metamorphosis show won the Live Production of the Year prize at the 2016 TPI awards.

TOM CAMPBELL

Tom CampbellAfter studying Technical Theatre, Tom Campbell worked at his local venue the Bristol Hippodrome before touring large-scale theatrical productions including Evita, Blood Brothers and Cabaret. Six years after his lighting career started Tom turned his attention to live music and events and has now designed large-scale concerts and tours across a wide variety of genres all over the globe.

FRANCIS CLEGG

francisHeadShotQualifications: MEng Mechanical Engineering, Imperial College London

Whilst completing his Masters degree, Francis started in the lighting industry working with artists across a wide range of genres, developing his CV and unique style and touring extensively, before eventually leaving engineering behind to focus on his design career.

Francis has a wide and diverse roster of clients, having been recognised at 2016‘s Knight of Illumination Awards for his innovative, immersive work with Public Service Broadcasting, aswell as gaining a reputation in the grime and UK rap scenes with designs for artists including Krept and Konan, Kano and Giggs.

BEN EVERETT

benQualifications: HND in Theatre and Performance Technology at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA)

After graduating from LIPA, Ben worked as Technical Manager at the Leeds Assembley Rooms and London Battersea Arts Centre in London before moving into freelance lighting design. Starting with a particular emphasis in folk music, Ben worked with three-time BBC Folk Awards Best Group Winners, “Lau” as well as The Unthanks and Beth Orton. Since then he has broadened his client list to currently include The Jesus and Mary Chain, Maggie Rogers, Billy Ocean, and special projects with members of Mogwai and Portishead.

DSC03031Bryan Leitch has been working in the music industry for over thirty years, and he is by no means finished. Not content with still designing for some of the biggest artists and festivals in the world, Bryan has also just completed a tour of all 332 UK venues he’s visited throughout his career, all in the name of some very important charities. The tour has now concluded but you can read about it and still donate at thecancerbonustour.com.

francisHeadShot-300x300Tom Taylor’s wide and varied experience includes high-end, luxury brand events for clients such as Adidas, Bentley and Red Bull as well as a huge amount of concert and touring knowledge, having worked with artists such as Lethal Bizzle and John Legend.

2017 sees Tom touring with Maximo Park and continuing to expand his roster as part of the MIRRAD team.
